It was such a gorgeous day out today and when I saw the clear blue sky I knew we needed to have a little adventure. Nixie loves to run around on our little beach during low tide and I had checked the times for low tide and it just happened to be during the most beautiful part of the day and a time that wasn’t too early or too late. We are really beginning to feel the temperature drop, there's a definite chill in the air but this chill is exactly the reason you feel so refreshed and energized being out especially with the gentle heat of the sun. It's a good 40 min or so walk from our house, but for some reason it never feels that long! On our way we saw a beautiful pheasant run right in front of us and once in the nature reserve we made friends with one of the many horses that were hanging around, I felt such a calmness with this horse, she had the most beautiful nature and even Nixie got to stroke her too. But all it did was remind her of how much she loves to ride horses and how she really misses her Tomato (the horse from brockenhurst riding stables). I can't wait until the next time we can take her riding!

I love the sea at low-tide, I love getting a glimpse of what's beneath the water. We were  looking out for crabs but didn't find any although she claimed to find them twice and I didn't have the heart to tell her they weren't crabs, just shells. We had a great time running around through the shallow waters and puddles, Nixie was in a wonderfully happy mood and so was my heart. Eventually before we lost all light we made our way home, our spirits feeling refreshed and renewed by the sea.
